I have been diligently folding Paper Cranes for a few years now. While I haven't reached 1000 yet - I am well on my way - and one day I'll reach it.

One of my hobbies is Geocaching. It gets me out and about - and it brings me to places I'd not see otherwise.

The Geocaching community is taking part in a Diabetes awareness drive - tracking and moving travel bugs from one location to another.

What awareness drive wouldn't be complete with a photo contest? Hence this image - one of the entries I submitted.

Unite for Diabetes Travel Bugs
Diabetes is a leading cause of blindness, kidney failure, heart attack, stroke and amputation. Despite the shocking statistics, awareness about diabetes and its complications remains pitifully low.

You can bring diabetes out of the shadows and raise awareness of diabetes and its complications through geocaching.

Anyone, anywhere in the world can take part..
